True Story: There is a married couple who sit around the breakfast table and check my Instagram and Facebook profile every morning. They mock, criticise, judge and laugh at my posts. Sometimes, the female sits around the living room with her group of female friends, and as a collective, they do the same, having a great old time sharing the same level of derision and the same frequency of vibration with one another.
How do I know this? Because their child goes to school and tells my child everything that the parents say. LOL! My child shares the news with me after school and we both have a tremendous laugh every time.
I am not for everyone.
Knowing this has kept me above water and focused on who I am, who I am for, and who I want to become. I have no interest in fitting in. I am interested only in Truth and Authenticity. I am not here to fit into anyone’s world. I am here to make my own mark. I am motivated by accomplishment and truth. I am not motivated by pride. Pride consumes the weak and kills their heart from within.
My only competition is my potential.
Everyday I endeavour to eliminate anger, worry, stress and sadness from my internal kingdom. These are the emotions I work to manage on a daily basis. Regret, resentment, guilt, blame, jealousy, shame and fear – I had eliminated from my diet many years ago. This is the reason I hardly ever get sick. Oh, meditation, nutritious food, exercise and lots and lots of sex also attribute to my vitality!
Over the years I have come to understand that one cannot force another to understand a message that they are not ready to receive.
It’s ok if you don’t get it.
If you are fast asleep and dreaming beautiful dreams, who I am I to disturb and awaken you?
Plato once said; “No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.” And I am reminded of the immortal words of Lao Tzu…
“No one can insult me because I do not want respect.
No one can defeat me because I dropped the very idea of winning.
How can you defeat me? You can only defeat someone who wants to win.”
It is true. Self Love is the greatest middle finger of all time.
